In year 3 we have been learning about discovery. We learnt about some famous New Zealand discoverers, the reason why we are learning about famous New Zealand discoverers is because our sports groups are named after these people. Can you guess who they are?
We think the famous New Zealand discoverers are Sir Edmund Hillary, Ernest Rutherford, Jean Batten and Kate Sheppard. We were confused with Ernest Rutherford and Sir Edmund Hillary but when we listened to the fact "scientist" we knew it was Ernest Rutherford.
